Another great week of football for KTFA as our U11s kicked off their U11 7v7 campaign with a seven goal thriller; our U13s ran out comfortable winners of a friendly against fellow A league challengers Regents Park; our U12s cruised to victory against St John’s Wood and U7s and U9s also put in great performances in the Camden and Regents Park Youth League.
The U13s kicked off first against Regents Park, with an experimental midfield missing key midfield anchors Trey Farringdon McCarthy, Benji Wells and Sol Hamilton. Despite that, they comfortably controlled their game from start to finish, only a late consolation strike marring what was otherwise a routine victory that bodes well for the rest of the season.

Our outstanding U11s narrowly lost out in a seven goal thriller. Chaotic defending early on saw them concede a four goal deficit within minutes of the game, but then fight back with a scintillating second half performance that almost saw them claim a share of the points. If they can match their second half performance in other games, they’ll be a force to be reckoned with this year.

Amazingly, some of the same team then ran across the park to line up with the U12 9v9’s for their first game of the season against St John’s Wood. Playing some exciting, dynamic football, they raced to a 2-0 lead before letting SJW back into the game, before claiming all the points with a late header from Joshua Oghenekaro

Across Regent’s Park, our U9s played well against a strong LSS side, but narrowly missed out on a win, whilst our U7s kicked off their season with some spectacular football in front of the Regents Park Hub.
All together a great second week for KTFA, and already looking forward to week 3 of the league on 24 September, when our U8s, U10s, U11s and U13Bs will all be in action.
