Another great weekend of football as Kentish Town kids show why – despite the pouring rain – they’re regarded as amongst the most talented football players currently playing in the Borough.
Our U13s put on a proper show for an utterly drenched set of parents and spectators taking on on London Tigers and ran out 16-0 winners in a one sided contest which delivered a hatful of goals for an ever more exciting side who have dominated all their games so far this season.
Our U12s turned out a fairly young team this week, with a lot of our super-talented U11s playing up a year. But they nevertheless bossed the first half against against a decent Drayton Youth side, scoring 4 goals, in a game that eventually ended 4-1.
The U11s played their own game this morning, drawing 2-2 against highly fancied Muswell Hill. This is probably the most exciting developing side we’ve got at the moment in the club – we’re expecting great things over the next 2-3 years.
The U10s played a friendly at Castlehaven, enabling them to try our a few new players, and came away with a 4-4 draw and some really positive signs for the coming season.
Finally, our U9s were slightly disappointed with a 1-1 draw in a game they should have won. Endless shots on goal, but not quite good enough finishing in a game they otherwise dominated for long periods.
