U12s take on Southampton FC

Our fantastic U12s took on a Southampton FC academy side in an evening game on Monday 5 October. After a tough weekend for both U12 teams, players were up for showing what they were capable of against better opposition, building on their fantastic performances at Reading, Brentford and Norwich last season.

Playing 4 x 20min “halves”, Town went into an early lead after a stunning strike by Trey Farrington-McCarthy, but – despite more goals from Solly Hamilton and Jayden Bailey-Jennings – eventually went down 5-3.

However, there were great performances across the whole team, and coaches and players are very much look forward to playing more games with both Southampton and other academy sides over the coming season.
