Cup glory as U13s cruise into Quarter Finals

Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League leaders Kentish Town cruised into the quarter finals of the London FA Youth Cup with a 15 goal demolition of Leyton United on Saturday. Travelling to Leyton’s home base at Hackney Marshes, Town swiftly took the lead through on-form striker Al Reese Minsiomi, whose long range shot crept under a diving United keeper.

Town kept up the pressure, going two ahead shortly after when centre back Max Leach got on the end of a free kick by Trey Farringdon McCarthy, before the floodgates opened, Town scoring 6 further goals in ten minutes to put the game out of reach before half time.

Not content to ease up with the game already won, Town continued to maintain their work rate during an equally one-sided second half, running out eventual 15-0 victors, with hat tricks for Al Reese Minsiomi and fellow striker Blend Gashi and two goals each for Trey Farrington McCarthy and Jayden Bailey Jennings, bringing free scoring Town’s total goals scored this season to 52 in six games, in an unbeaten run that now stretches back to the start of September.
